A New Obsession

Yes, I do! It is becoming a little ridiculous and I am starting to put myself on restrictions.
I just had not idea about this world of DIY (do-it-yourself) projects. Well, I knew about them but
not the blog world of DIY. WOW!! Let me just say ...WOW! There are just thousands of them (well, it seems like that). Don't worry I have not personally looked at that many but I will tell you that I have bookmarked 40+ already.  So, I have a list going of what I would love to do and it is growing by the day.
I started my first tonight and messed up so I have to roll with it and try again. It isn't a big deal and I will show it to you this weekend when I can finish it. It is a very small project but hey,
I gotta start somewhere, right?
So, I will be posting whenever I do something new or find a new look for something I already have. Granted I will be copying other people but I figure since they are putting up on their blogs they don't mind us trying to do it too.

11 Months!

Well, our little man is one month from a year! Hard to believe that it is that close. I am just wondering why he is not sleeping through the night yet. WHY??? Besides the sleeping issue he is a wonderful baby. He is loving that it is getting nicer out so that we can be outside. It has been nice for us all to get out and just enjoy the weather. Here are some pics form the last month:
First time in the sandbox..he wasn't sure what to do, but he got into it after a few minutes.
I just had to make sure he wasn't eating it.

This was his first swing ride. I knew he would love it and it was more than I expected.
He was having the time of his life!

Some New Things:
~ He is laughing and babbling a lot now. Loves to say "mama, dada, and yaya."
~ He is signing "all done"..we are working on "more" and "please."
~ He still continues to refuse to crawl.
~ He still has no teeth--I expect them any day now.
~ He is my little cuddly man and loves to sit with mommy and daddy.
~ He likes to stand and hang on to things and is starting to cruise around furniture.
~ He is starting to get upset about not getting around..he wants to walk everywhere; this is
not very fun for me since I have to hold his hands all of the time.
~ He loves to eat and still makes his "mmmmm" sounds while eating.
~ He seems to eat whatever we put in-front of him, which is a nice change from his sissy.
~ Whenever Matt is holding him everyone says how much he looks like him.

I know he is doing a lot more but I am a little tired right now and don't feel much like thinking too much about it. I will have a much better list at his 1 year!

A Birthday Party!!

We had M1's 4th birthday party last weekend and we all had a blast! We were so thankful that a few of M1's friends could come and celebrate with us.  We had a pool party..thats right a pool party in February.
We belong to a complex that is a lot like a YMCA so they have a great indoor pool that is very accommodating to young kids. So, without delay here are some shots from the evening:

So fun!!

the pics didn't come out well because of the lighting..my photographer friend was even having trouble.

Little man was loving the water.

My good friend, Erin and M2's little friend, Finley.

I was pretty excited about this banner.. I had a good time making it. Will be making another for M2's birthday.

I was uber excited about this cake!! My friend, Liana helped me. This was my first fondant experience and it went a lot better than I thought..it is not hard to work with.

Everyone was excited about having cake. I have realized that my little girl is NOT a cake girl. She was supper excited to see it, but she only had one or two bites. She is like her mama...a ice cream girl.

It was a great party..definitely one to remember.

4 Years Old! WOW!

Can not believe that our little girl is 4 years old today. It is amazing to see how much she has grown both physically and mentally this year.  I have recently realized that she is not a toddler anymore...it made me a little sad to ponder that for a few moments. I went back and found some videos of her first year of life (tears)....I had forgotten so much.
She was only about 7 months old here in Williamsburg.

Some milestones of the last year:
~ started dance classes
~ we did a lot of traveling through the year (Charlotte a couple of time,
drove to Pittsburgh two times, returned to Taxes for a visit, and drove to Tulsa and Memphis
to visit friends)
~ started writing her letters
~ just started pre-school in Jan.
~ her vocabulary seems to be growing daily
and the things that she says just makes me laugh.
my favorite word she says is: tomollo (tomorrow)
~ loves having a brother around to love on
~ is getting good on the computer already with Zoodles and PBS
~ she is still a picky eater..she loves cereal and pb&j
~ she comes by her love of sugar honestly

She is a busy, active, and she loves to play, play, play.
She is running circles around us (literally).

There is probably a lot more but at this moment but both of my children are crying
in their beds and I can't concentrate.

9 Months (& 2 weeks)

This is two weeks late but the pictures are only a week late so that is a plus.
M2 is doing so making us smile more everyday. He is such a cute little man
and everyone is saying that he is looking more and more like his daddy. You can judge for yourself:

So cute!!

Some accomplishments from the last month:
~ He is up to 19 lbs.
~ still has not started crawling or moving around
but I have started forcing him to have tummy time (meaning I block him);
he gets pretty upset about it after about a minute.
~ eating like a champ...he loves all food and will make "yummy" noises the whole time he eats.
(you can see a video here)
~ likes to stand-up but is not holding on alone yet
~ he has now slept four nights in a row the whole night. Each night that passes
I become more and more excited.
~ He still loves his sissy and is constantly looking for her.
~ For Christmas we drove to Pittsburgh and he did great in the car! I am happy that he has turned into such a good traveler especially since we travel so much.
~ M1 is a great big sister (except maybe when she covers him  up to play hide-and-seek. He doesn't like that game very much yet.

Pics from Jan.

I realize that it has been a months since I have put anything up here and I am sorry to those of you (maybe 2) who actually look at this. So, I do this out of love for you.
These next couple of pics speak for themselves.

This was M2's first bath without his little tub. I kept him in it so long because I was afraid
that M1 would be too rough in the tub.

Happy New Year!

I can not believe that another year has gone by. I looked back on my little list of hopes for 2010..here is it:
A few of our 2010 hopes:

~We are praying to have a job in place before Matt is done with fellowship at the end of June.
~For the safe delivery of our son in April.
~For a easy move experience and possible adjustment to a new home.
~Most of all that we are able to raise our children to have a person relationship with him.

It is neat to read this and see what we were blessed with. We did have a safe and healthy baby boy in April. As you know he lights up our house daily with his personality and smiles.
We decided to stay here for another year while Matt works shift work at a urgent care center and an E.R. in a small town in Il. This has been a big blessing this year as Matt is home more than he has ever been before. We are now trying to decide about a job that Matt will do for the next 5 years or more.
So my hopes for the year 2011:
~ Matt would be able to decide on a job and have peace about the decision
~ Isabella would grow to be more obedient and complain less
~ I would grow as a mom, grow in my faith and to be able to bring those two things together better.
~ Matt and I would continue to grow as a couple.
~ Sam would continue to grow and be healthy but it would be wonderful for him to sleep through the night.

We hope that this year holds many blessings for you and your families. And when those hard moments come, we pray that you will turn to the Lord for your comfort. Looking forward to what this year holds.
