Visit with Friends!

We had a great time with our friends, the Lees, when they came last week to visit. It was so much having them here with us. We were pretty much non-stop for the four days they were here. We did almost everything you can do in St. Louis with four children.
Here are some pics from our time together:
First thing we did when they got here was go downtown to visit the Arch. Hannah is doing going to do a project on St. Louis for school.

I love this angle of the Arch; it is pretty amazing in-person.

Pretty cute couple, right?
These next few are from the Magic House. We had not been there yet and it was a lot of fun for the kids. It is a big kid play place to say it simply. You might get the idea after you see the pictures.

AAAHHHH!

Crazy curly hair!
These next ones are from our outing to Grant's Farm. We only ended up being there for short time but we got to see a lot of animals on the tram ride.

Yes, we were that close to the horse. It was so neat for the kids to be that close.

Look at high he can reach!

And this was our time with the Lee family. We also got to go to Ted Drew's. Yummy custard!
Thank you for coming to visit us. We love you guys!

S's Baptism

M2 was baptized on Sunday.  It was a really nice service and M2 did a great job; he enjoyed chewing on our pastor's robe.  M1 seemed to enjoy it too..she laughed when the water was dropped onto his head; it was sweet.

Going Downtown

We have had some beautiful days here this past week. I have been wanting to go take some pics of the arch.  Matt had the day off so we were able to go down for a picnic and enjoy our time outside. The winter can stay away as long as it wants with the kind of fall we are having.
 The happy children.

I love this picture. I think it looks really beautiful.

S is 6 Months!

I can not believe M2 is halfway to 1 already. It is hard to believe in another 6 months he will be trying cake for the first time. Craziness! I forgot that each month is so much more fun than the last.

In the last month:
~ weight: 18 lbs (50%)
~ height: 27 1/2 in (80%)
~ He loves to play with his hands and feet
~ He is rolling from his tummy to back with ease, but has yet to go from back to tummy;
he doesn't seem interested.
~ He is laughing and interacting with us more each day. He loves to see Isabella and
is starting to like peekaaboo
~ Hei s not sleeping through the night yet...he usually gets up only once now.
But I am SO ready for him to let me sleep all night.
~ He is sitting up really well all by himself.
~ He is starting to really enjoy playing with his toys and playing with sissy.
~ He is a very happy boy and he has added so much to our family in the 6 short months
that he has been with us. We love to little man.

Tricycle Girl

Poor M1 has to ride around on her bike inside of our house because there isn't a good place to ride outside of our house. She has a good time going around and around in the house because we have a circle. She has started to put her play dough on with her and take it for a ride. If you look closely you can see it on the back of her bike.

Taste of STL

Last weekend we decided to get on the metro and head downtown for the Taste of STL. It was late in the day by the time we got down there because Matt was on a 24 hour shift the night before and had to come home and sleep. M1 had a great time on the "train."
M1 had a great time on the little trucks. This was the first time that she actually did a good job driving one of these.

The food was good too. If you have never been to a "Taste of" there are a lot of restuarants that have booths and they sell very small portions of a few of their favs for a couple of dollars. I didn't think to take pics of the food because I was pushing the stroller and forgot to..not too smart of me. sorry! But you can see how popular it is:

Rest of Our Trip

I am sorry to say that I completely forgot about postingpics from the rest of our Pittsburgh trip. We were able to spend some time with friends our last two days there. One of Matt's buddies from HS lives near our alma mater so we went there after church on Sunday and took my "little sis" for a very special lunch to the Hot Dog Shoppe. It was so good to see her and see Geneva since they have done so much to the campus since we were there. It is hard to believe it had been 7 years since I walked to class or the dinning hall. I wish it had looked like this when we were there.
The new entrance into campus.

M1 and Carley

Old Main

M1 and our friend's daughter

M1 has her first iPad experience..she thought it was pretty cool (as did mommy).

Watching the first Steelers game.
Then the day that we were leaving PA we got to stop by and see our friends from Harlingen, TX. It was so good to see them since it had been almost three years. They have had two more kids since the last time we saw them and have built a new home. They have a lot of land and it is beautiful. Hopefully it won't be another three years.

This is Luke. He was born a month after M1 in TX. They looked so cute riding around together.
