Catch up

Okay here is what you all have been waiting for all summer. Be warned there are going to be a lot of pictures to see. So, pace yourself.
JULY:

This is a picture of when Heidi was visiting. We are so thankful that she was there when she was..Isabella had some fun with her too. This is when we were staying with friends after the break in; they have a pool--it was really nice!

AUGUST:

This is just so cute! These next couple of pictures are from our trip to Pittsburgh to see Matt's family. Isabella met everyone except Tim (hopefully at Christmas). We had a really nice time. We also got to see our friends, the Nash's. Luke is Isabella's long-distance boyfriend (aren't they cute?).
This is Matt's sister Martha; we can't wait to meet our new cousin soon!!

okay, that is enough for today..more to come.

Interesting story

A 59 year-old man has made his college football team. Apparently, he was kicked off the team some 30-plus years ago. He will be the oldest college football player in NCAA history.....

here is the story

Trying to be normal

Wow...... it has been a long time since we have written- a lot has happened obviously and we are trying to get back to normal. So it is good to be writing this. Most of you know our house was broken into in a bad way with katie, Isabella and our friend at home. We have moved and will be selling our house. Pray for us - selling a house is very difficult right now in harlingen. We look forward to writing more in the next week.....

Spider Man

Taking advantage of a visiting friend, katie and I were able to get away to the dollar theater - we saw Spider Man 3. In my opinion, the Spider Man movies have been the best comic book action-hero movies, and here is a short treatise on why.....

1. Spider Man is a lot more like you than any other superhero
2. The costumes, womenly screams in distress, and action antics are just corny enough that you are reminded, that indeed these movies, are based on comic books
3. Based in NYC, not Gothem City or Metropolis
4. Relationships in the story - Peter and MJ, Peter and his Aunt, Peter and his best friend Harry (see number 5)
5. The first bad guy to appear - this is harry, peter's best friend who is avenging his Dad's death. Harry's silly costume involves this flying hoverboeard/snowboard that is just awesome
6. The first bad guy to appear (Harry) actually ends up helping Peter (Spiderman) against the next bad guy (the sand man, played by Thomas Hayden Church - see number 7)
7. Thomas Hayden Church - he has come a long way from playing Lowell Mather, on Wings

So, in the end the movie comes to a culmination when Peter forgives the man who killed his uncle - this was pretty important, but then the movie ends with the humanistic hurray that emphasis that you have to be a good person. This seems good, but only seems to be half true.......

Just cute

Here are some recently taken pictures of Isabella. The first one is of her and daddy playing with her favorite toy "Mr. Froggie". And the next one is of her getting ready to get in the bath; she loves her bath time.
